3rd Annual BAAFN Essay Award Ceremony
and Guest Speaker Janet Wu
On May 23rd, 2018, winners of BAAFN's student essay contest were joined by family, friends, educators and Brookline community members in Hunneman Hall at Brookline's Main Library to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
Each winner addressed the theme of "What It means to be Asian American" and shared personal reflections and anecdotes on the impact this has had in his/her life.
This year, entries included students with backgrounds from Korea, China, Japan, The Philippines, Sri-Lanka, France and Israel.
Janet Wu shared her views on "Conflict, Information and Diversity" after the ceremony.
